Partners

1.6 Parnters The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Department of Parks and Recreation believes in taking a “village” approach to providing youth with opportunities to enhance their development efforts. M-NCPPC is seeking partners and sponsors to assist in building a stronger program base for our youth. Support from partners can include financial donations, program support, donations of items and materials and promotional support.

We are seeking partners who can assist us in reaching the following goals:
  • Promoting healthy lifestyles, wellness and the development of lifetime leisure skills in young people.
  • Enhancing positive and constructive recreation and leisure opportunities for young people’s out-of-school and unstructured time.
  • Increasing youth experiences that protect and steward natural, cultural and historic resources.
  • Developing and strengthening outreach efforts to be inclusive of and accessible to an increasingly diverse population of young people and their families.

Proposals for Partnerships

A proposal for a new partnership provides key information for planning a future collaboration. Proposals that focus on the highest needs in your community and provide measurable results will have the most success. The Department of Parks and Recreation can be an agent of positive change in communities – together, we can demonstrate the benefits of our programs, and support for them will follow.
