2.2.7 Teen Vocal Showcase There are lots of talented young singers in Prince George’s County... are you one of them?

Enter the Xtreme Teens Rising Stars Vocal Showcase competition, and you could be named one of the top singers in the county, plus take home a cash prize! The event takes place every spring and is open to singers ages 10-13 and 14-17.

2012 Xtreme Teens Rising Stars Vocal Showcase

University of Maryland Kay Theater
Saturday, May 12, 2012 7-10 pm

Ladies and gentlemen ages 10-17 who are residents of Prince George’s County are cordially invited to audition for the 2012 Xtreme Teens Rising Stars Vocal Showcase. Both soloists and musical groups are welcome to audition. Those who make the cut will have the opportunity to perform in the Showcase at Kay Theater (University of Maryland) on Saturday, May 12 and compete for prizes ranging from $250-$1,000.

To audition, you must:

Be a Prince George’s County, MD, resident;
Prepare two songs - one slow song and one fast song – to demonstrate your vocal versatility and range; and
Bring music to the audition. Prepare a CD by recording your own musical accompaniment or downloading music.

Note: If you are selected to perform at the Vocal Showcase, you will sing one of the two songs from your audition, as chosen by staff.
