3.4.1 Where to EnjoyArchery
Targets are located at Adelphi Manor Community Recreation Center (get to them from the 2600 Block of University Boulevard) and Bock Road Maintenance Yard (7401 Bock Road in Fort Washington).

Baseball
To watch baseball, visit Prince George's Stadium, the home of the Bowie Baysox, AA affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. To play baseball, you can find a baseball field near you using Find a Park, or join a baseball league offered through M-NCPPC’s partnership with the Prince George's County Boys and Girls Club.

Basketball
Find a nearby, outdoor basketball court using Find a Park. Also, many community centers have indoor basketball courts where you can play, take classes, or join an inter-center league. Other basketball leagues are offered through M-NCPPC’s partnership with the Prince George's County Boys and Girls Club.

Boating
Head out on the water at Bladensburg Waterfront Park, Clyde Watson Boating Area  in Brandywine, Colmar Manor Community Park (3508 38th Avenue), Cosca Regional Park in Clinton, Governor Bridge Canoe Launch in Bowie, or Patuxent River Park, Queen Anne Canoe Launch and Jug Bay Natural Area in Upper Marlboro.

Biking
There are tons of places to go biking, including paved paths at many parks and a huge network of trails. If you need to rent a bike, head to Ellen Linson Swimming Pool in College Park in season — it’s conveniently located near the scenic Northeast Hiker/Biker Trail.

Camping
Sleep beneath the stars at Cosca Regional Park in Clinton, Patuxent River Park, Jug Bay Natural Area in Upper Marlboro and Watkins Regional Park in Upper Marlboro.

Cricket
Fields are located at Adelphi Manor Community Recreation Center (8000 Block of West Park Drive), Chillum Community Park (5701 16th Avenue in West Hyattsville) and Glassmanor Community Center Park in Temple Hills.

Disc Golf
Play for free at Paint Branch Parkway Community Park Disc Golf Course in College Park.
 
Dog Exercise
Your pet will love getting some fresh air with you at the College Park Dog Park at Acredale Community Park (membership required) or Heurich Dog Park in Hyattsville.

Fishing
Catch a big one at Bladensburg Waterfront Park, Cedar Haven Fishing Area in Eagle Harbor, Clyde Watson Boating Area in Brandywine, Glenridge Community Park Landover Hills, Governor Bridge Natural Area in Bowie, Lake Artemesia Conservation Area in Berwyn Heights, Mellwood Pond Neighborhood Park in Upper Marlboro, "Patuxent River Park, Jug Bay Natural Area in Upper Marlboro, Queen Anne Bridge Fishing Area in Bowie, and School House Pond Conservation Area in Upper Marlboro.

Football
Find a football field using Find a Park, or join one of the flag football or tackle football leagues offered through M-NCPPC’s partnership with the Prince George's County Boys and Girls Club.

Geocaching
Geocaching, a high-tech treasure hunting game, is run by Park Rangers in many of our parks. For more information, click here.

Golf
Golf is available at Enterprise Golf Course in Mitchellville, Henson Creek Golf Course in Oxon Hill, Paint Branch Golf Complex in College Park and Kentland Golf Training Center in Landover. All four golf facilities offer The First Tee, a national junior golf program.

Hiking
There’s a huge network of trails for hikers in Prince George’s County. Hiking is also available at  Cosca Regional Park in Clinton, Fairland Regional Park in Laurel, Walker Mill Regional Park in District Heights and Watkins Regional Park in Upper Marlboro.

Horseshoes
Horseshoe pits are located in many parks throughout the county. To find one near you, call 301-699-2525.

Ice Skating and Hockey
Hit the ice at Herbert Wells Ice Rink in College Park (seasonal), Tucker Road Ice Rink in Fort Washington and The Gardens Ice House in Laurel.

Miniature Golf
Watkins Regional Park has a miniature golf course that is open seasonally.

Picnicking
You can find a picnic area near you using Find a Park. Learn more about Picnic Shelter Rental through our Park Permits Office.

Running
Go for a run on the county’s large network of trails or at Cosca Regional Park in Clinton, Fairland Regional Park in Laurel, Walker Mill Regional Park in District Heights and Watkins Regional Park in Upper Marlboro. Call the Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex at 301-583-2400, for information about the facility’s indoor and outdoor tracks.

Skateboarding
Bring your board to Mount Rainier South Neighborhood Mini-Park Skate Park (at the corner of Otis Street and Wells Avenue). A second skate park is planned for the Clinton area in 2011.

Soccer
Find a nearby soccer field using Find a Park. Also, some community centers, like the College Park Community Center and Youth Soccer Complex, offer soccer leagues and classes. Other soccer leagues are offered through M-NCPPC’s partnership with the Prince George's County Boys and Girls Club.

Softball
You can find softball fields by using Find a Park, or join a softball league offered through M-NCPPC’s partnership with the Prince George's County Boys and Girls Club.

Street Hockey
Street hockey rinks are located at Berwyn Heights Sports Park (5500 Block of Berwyn Road) and Vera Cope Weinbach Neighborhood Recreation Center (6240 Westbrook Drive in New Carrollton).

Swimming
The Department of Parks and Recreation operates 11 pools throughout the county, including indoor, year-round pools and seasonal, outdoor pools.

Tennis
You can find outdoor tennis courts by using Find a Park. Indoor tennis is also available at Cosca Regional Park Tennis Bubble in Clinton, Fairland Tennis Bubble in Laurel and Watkins Regional Park Tennis Bubble in Upper Marlboro.

Trap and Skeet
Do some sharpshooting at Prince George's County Trap and Skeet Center in Glenn Dale.

Volleyball
Find a volleyball court near you by using Find a Park.

Walking
Go for a stroll along Prince George’s County’s extensive network of trails, or at Cosca Regional Park in Clinton, Fairland Regional Park in Laurel, Walker Mill Regional Park in District Heights and Watkins Regional Park in Upper Marlboro.
